Trick or Treat and Dia de los Muertos

Join us for Trick or Treat and Dia de los Muertos at the Two Mississippi Museums on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Explore Mississippi’s history and Mexican heritage with our museum gallery guide, themed crafts and games, and a cultural demonstration from members of the Mississippi Hispanic Association. Visit our Trick or Treat and Day of the Dead activity stations for spirited holiday fun and a screening of Coco in the auditorium at 1 p.m. Admission to the museums is free for anyone wearing a costume during the event hours. At noon Wednesday, September 24, NancyKay Wessman, author and founder of WessComm, LLC, will explore the vivid firsthand accounts of frontline heroes sustaining local communities by showing courage, leadership, and moral determination as part of the History Is Lunch series. Wessman is the author of Katrina, Mississippi: Voices from Ground Zero which focuses on the stories of first responders who risked their lives to lead rescue, recovery, and relief efforts during and after Hurricane Katrina. This program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums and will also stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel.
