Join us for Flags From Mississippi Gallery Talk: Conservation at the Two Mississippi Museums. In celebration of Flag Day, Kathryn Etre, director of conservation at MDAH, will discuss the preservation of flags within the exhibit and the role of museum conservators in preserving these artifacts for future generations. Join us at noon on Wednesday, November 19, for History Is Lunch as teachers and students who helped lay the foundation for Head Start share their stories of the program’s early years. What began in 1965 as an experiment in early childhood education has grown into a nationwide program that today serves nearly 20,000 low-income children and families across Mississippi.
