Join us for Flags From Mississippi Gallery Talk: Conservation at the Two Mississippi Museums. In celebration of Flag Day, Kathryn Etre, director of conservation at MDAH, will discuss the preservation of flags within the exhibit and the role of museum conservators in preserving these artifacts for future generations. Activities for families and community members include themed crafts and gallery talks from Freedom Rider Hezekiah Watkins.

Join us at the Two Mississippi Museums to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 19, for the MLK Celebration free weekend sponsored by FedEx. As part of the MLK Night of Culture, Amanda Furge will host artistic performances by invited guests at 6 p.m., followed by a theatrical performance by Meridian High School.
