Join Tougaloo College at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 8, for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) Grassroots Organizing Discussion: Black Power Roundtable Discussion as part of the SNCC & Grassroots Organizing Discussion Series. SNCC veterans Charles McLaurin and Jennifer Lawson and Movement historians Robert Greene and Emilye Crosby will discuss SNCC’s work on Black Power. The 2025 Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 7, on the Entergy Plaza in front of the Two Mississippi Museums. The program will include a performance by the 41st Army Band, a moment of silence, recognition of the veterans in attendance and of fallen heroes by the Adjutant General of the Mississippi National Guard.

At noon Wednesday, November 12, author Jere Nash will discuss his book, Reconstruction in Mississippi, 1862-1877, a detailed and comprehensive history of the period following the Civil War, as part of the History Is Lunch series. This program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums.
