Join us at the Two Mississippi Museums to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 20. This free admission day, sponsored by FedEx, will include a performance by New Horizon Church Children’s Ensemble at 10 a.m. and gallery talks by Freedom Rider Hezekiah Watkins at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. The day will also include MLK Night of Culture at 6 p.m., hosted by Vicksburg native Alexis Noble. Inspired by the 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, this free evening program will feature original works by artists in genres from spoken word poetry to theatre.
