Join us for the annual MLK Night of Culture at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums. Hosted by local Jackson artist 5th Child, this year's theme honors the 60th anniversary of Freedom Summer. Artists will perform original pieces centered on freedom, voting rights, and education. This program is free and open to the public. FedEx is sponsoring free admission to the Two Mississippi Museums on Saturday, February 17.
At noon Wednesday, October 22, Jay Wesley, author of Choctaw Traditions: Stories of the Life and Customs of the Mississippi Choctaw, and Eddie Johnson, a tribal member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, will discuss a collection of stories from all nine Choctaw communities that captures the rich detail and complexity of Choctaw life as part of the History Is Lunch series.
