Juneteenth Jubilee

Join us for Juneteenth Jubilee at the Two Mississippi Museums! Sponsored by Ingalls Shipbuilding, this evening program will celebrate Black empowerment and community, featuring a variety of activities in collaboration with Briarwood Arts Center. The festivity will include Juneteenth-themed crafts, card and yard games, Juneteenth-themed tours at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., a line dance workshop with Aaron Honeysuckle at 5:30 p.m., and performances by The Master's Touch DrumLine, LLC, Jasmine JT Thomas, Clifton Cotten, and the Anderson United Methodist Church youth dance ministry. Join us for an exciting week as we travel back to the 1960s and explore how Mississippi helped shape the Space Race, music, and major cultural change. Campers will learn through hands-on activities, stories, and creative projects that bring history to life. These sessions take place on July 6 –16 in the Pete Spiro Classroom at the Two Mississippi Museums.
