A panel from the Mississippi Press Association will discuss the impact of community journalism across Mississippi over the past 160 years at noon on Wednesday, April 22, as part of the History Is Lunch series. Panelists include Anita Lee, reporter for the Sun Herald; Natalie Perkins, editor of the Deer Creek Pilot; Jamie Patterson, editor of The Yazoo Herald; and moderator Charles Overby, chairman of the Overby Center for Southern Journalism and Politics at the University of Mississippi. This free event will be held in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson and will stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel.
