Freedom Summer Free Weekend

Thank to support from Higher Purpose Co., the Two Mississippi Museums–the Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum–will offer free admission from Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Freedom Summer. For more information, call 601-576-6850 or email info@mdah.ms.gov.

Join us for Moms Morning at the Museums, in partnership with Jackson Motherhood, at the Two Mississippi Museums on October 29, at 10 a.m. Children will enjoy a live puppet show in the classroom while moms participate in a flash tour of one of our galleries.

At noon Wednesday, October 29, the History Is Lunch series will feature a special preview of The American Revolution: A film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. This forty-five-minute preview of the six-part, twelve-hour documentary presents the story of the men and women of the revolutionary generation, their fight for independence, and the birth of the United States.
