Freedom Summer Free Weekend

Thank to support from Higher Purpose Co., the Two Mississippi Museums–Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum–will offer free admission Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Freedom Summer. Sponsored by Ingalls Shipbuilding, this free, family-friendly event will celebrate community, culture, and the emancipation of Black Americans. Enjoy local food trucks, line-dancing workshops, a kids’ zone, an adults-only lounge, and Juneteenth-themed educational guides.
