Freedom Summer Free Weekend

Thank to support from Higher Purpose Co., the Two Mississippi Museums–Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum–will offer free admission Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Freedom Summer. Join us for the annual Christmas By Candlelight Tour on Friday, December 5, at 4 p.m. Use our free shuttles to take a holiday-themed tour of the Mississippi State Capitol, Mississippi Governor’s Mansion, Old Capitol Museum, and the Two Mississippi Museums.

To commemorate the 208th anniversary of Mississippi’s admission as the twentieth state in the Union, education staff from the Two Mississippi Museums will host free flash tours at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, in the Museum of Mississippi History.
