Since opening on December 9, 2017, more than half a million people have visited the Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. Join us December 9–11 for a free, fun party weekend to celebrate our fifth anniversary.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10
Free Admission all day.
9 a.m.
- Possum Ridge Train Town open on second floor.
10 a.m.
- Train Workshop begins on second floor. Make and paint your own train.
- First 125 children (12 and under) receive a train kit.
11 a.m.
- Enjoy food trucks on Entergy Plaza, or dine in the Nissan Cafe by Nick Wallace, until 3 p.m.
11:15 a.m.
- Celebration Announcement in Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium.
Noon
- Live music with T.B. Ledford in the Hall of History through 2 p.m.
1 p.m.
- Flash tours of the Museum of Mississippi History, Mississippi Civil Rights Museums, or The World of Marty Stuart exhibit. Meet in lobby.
2 p.m.
- Flash tours of the Museum of Mississippi History, Mississippi Civil Rights Museums, or The World of Marty Stuart exhibit. Meet in lobby.
3 p.m.
- Live music with Bill Howl-N-Madd Perry and Shy Perry in the Hall of History through 4:45 p.m.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11
Free Admission all day.
2 p.m.
- Movie at the Museums with holiday classic The Muppet Christmas Carol.
- Enjoy hot chocolate station and holiday cookies.
