Join us for Moms Morning at the Museums, in partnership with Jackson Motherhood, at the Two Mississippi Museums on October 29, at 10 a.m. Children will enjoy a live puppet show in the classroom while moms participate in a flash tour of one of our galleries. Afterwards, moms will gather for light refreshments while children have time to play and explore on the museum lawn. This event is designed to create a welcoming space for caregivers to connect, recharge, and engage with Mississippi history in a family-friendly setting. For more information, call 601-576-6850 or email info@mdah.ms.gov.
At noon Wednesday, October 15, Melody Golding, author, photographer, and artist, will share personal insights and firsthand accounts from Mississippians who survived Hurricane Katrina as part of the History Is Lunch Series. Golding’s portraits capture not only the storm’s damage but also the resilience of the people forced to rebuild their lives.
