MLK Weekend Celebration

Join us at the Two Mississippi Museums to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Sunday, January 19. This free admission day, sponsored by FedEx, will include a Voting Rights Act tour at 2 p.m. in the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. Join us at noon on Wednesday, November 19, for History Is Lunch as teachers and students who helped lay the foundation for Head Start share their stories of the program’s early years. What began in 1965 as an experiment in early childhood education has grown into a nationwide program that today serves nearly 20,000 low-income children and families across Mississippi.
