Look Away, Look Away Screening

The documentary Look Away, Look Away will be shown at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums. The documentary covers the intense debate that erupted over the Mississippi state flag in 2015 following the murder of nine Black churchgoers in Charleston, South Carolina.  A Q&A from the audience will follow the screening. At noon Wednesday, October 29, the History Is Lunch series will feature a special preview of The American Revolution: A film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. This forty-five-minute preview of the six-part, twelve-hour documentary presents the story of the men and women of the revolutionary generation, their fight for independence, and the birth of the United States.
