History Is Lunch: Di Rushing, "Mississippi's First Winery"

At noon on Wednesday, September 18, Di Rushing will present "Mississippi's First Winery" as part of the History Is Lunch series. The program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum building and stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel. Book sales and signing to follow.

Join us for Moms Morning at the Museums, in partnership with Jackson Motherhood, at the Two Mississippi Museums on October 29, at 10 a.m. Children will enjoy a live puppet show in the classroom while moms participate in a flash tour of one of our galleries.

At noon Wednesday, October 29, the History Is Lunch series will feature a special preview of The American Revolution: A film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt. This forty-five-minute preview of the six-part, twelve-hour documentary presents the story of the men and women of the revolutionary generation, their fight for independence, and the birth of the United States.
